Conclusion

Based on my conclusion, I found out that most of the customers for McDonald's are Chinese. Besides that, most of the customers in McDonalds AEON Cheras Selatan are adults and female. About 60% of customers are adults, 22% of them are children and only 18% of them are teenagers. In addition, around 51% of customers are female while 41% of customers are male.

McDonald's provides comfortable environment for their customers. for instance, air-conditioners and a lots of seats are provided for their customers. besides that, Wi-Fi also provided for customers to surf Internet while enjoying food in McDonald's. A small area of washing hands also provided in the store and this is very convenient to customers. McDonald's sells many types of food and beverages which is halal to customers. McDonalds is able to provide high quality food for their customers in short time and this attracts many customers to buy fast food in McDonald's. Lunch hours promotion for sets of hamburgers during 12pm to 3pm enables McDonald's to attract more customers.

As a conclusion, McDonald's outlet in AEON Cheras Selatan has more customers who are Chinese, female and adults.McDonald's should provide more healthy options for those customers who are healthy conscious in order to have more sales in future.

  • Opening hours of McDonad's in Jusco Selatan is from 10am until 10pm.
  • McDonald's sells different types of food such as hamburgers, french fries and beverages.
  • All food and beverages that sell in McDonald's are halal.
  • McDonald's has menu against the wall behind the cashiers.
  • Wi-Fi is provided in McDonald's store.
  • Washing hand area is provided in the store.
  • There are air-conditioners provided for their customers.
  • Tables and chairs are provided inside and outside of McDonald's store .
  • There is an area where chili sauce, tomato sauce, sugar and cream provided for customers.
  • There are 315 customers came to McDonald's during 2pm to 4.30pm.
  • About 51% of them are female while 49% of them are male.
  • Most of the customers are Chinese.
  • 60% of customers are adults, 22% of them are children and teenagers only 18%.

observation day in McDonald's Cheras Selatan 2/12/2012

I decided to do research on types of customers that visit McDonald's during 2 pm until 4.30 pm. I reached McDonald's AEON Jusco Cheras Selatan before 2 pm and I found a suitable seat to do my observation. I am using 15 minutes intervals for 10 sessions for my observations. As it was Sunday, so there were a lot of customers visited McDonald's and bought their food.

 The pie on the right side shows the percentage of male and female visited McDonald's. 51% of them are female while 49% of them are male.



The total number of customers is 315 people which consists of Malays, Chinese and Indians. 14% of them are Indians, 30% of them are Malays and 56% of them are Chinese.


There are three type of age group of customers visited McDonald's during 2pm to 4.30pm.  60% of them are adults, 22% of them are children while 18% of them are teenagers.
